Well, good question, I suppose. Probably because I know next to nothing about
ogg vorbis - in fact, I'm not even sure that I have it installed...
THe only reason that jumps to mind, however, is that by saving in mp3 format
my wife (who uses Win98, sigh) can also play the same files off our file
server.
Can you tell me (in one sentence or less) why I should use "ogg" format
instead of mp3? And what software I need to play the "ogg" files?
Interestingly, I just discovered "abcde" on my system ('apt-cache search ogg'
and there it was) which claims to do exactly what I need - rip a CD over to
mp3 files...so I'll at least give that a whirl!
