X-Windows screwing up console scroll
Hi,
In my .bashrc file, I have the following line:
consolechars -f /usr/share/consolefonts/is01a-8x14.psf.gz
This line gives me a smaller font that's easier to work with on my 19"
monitor.
This works fine---until I start X. If I log into X and then return to a
non-X console using CTRL-ALT-F1, the command prompt starts slipping below
the monitor's bottom horizon. I can issue a 'clear' command to get the
prompt back to the top of the screen, but then eventually it slips back down
below the monitor's horizon.
It's as if the screen were 27 lines large but the monitor is showing only
the top 25 lines.
Can anyone think of a solution to this quirky problem?
Thanks.
