  Why not let your system upgrade the way it is
designed to do it. Change the source lines in
/etc/apt/sources.list from stable to testing, then
save the changes.  Then do a apt-get upgrade &&
apt-get -u dist-upgrade  That will upgrade your system
from Woody to Sarge.
