Re: Unwanted Pop-up with Mozilla

Well, it looks like the New York Times web site has figured out how to defeat Mozilla's option to prevent the opening of unrequested windows. From www.wired.com I clicked on a link to "New Method to Solve Key Problem in Math"; rather than taking me to a login screen, it took me straight to the story (probaby because I had not closed Moz since last going to NYTimes and logging in). Immediately a new window popped up with an ad from trip.com, even though I had the option unchecked in Moz preferences.

Is maybe something wrong with my setup, or has the New York Times done an end-run around this favorite Moz feature?

user_pref("dom.disable_open_click_delay", 1000);

This preference isn't included in the exposed UI for disabling popups, but with it I didn't get a popup when I went to the page.
