Any way to alter "From:" temporarily in exim?

I need to unsubscribe from a list which necessitates my using a
different "From:" line to be accepted. I've tried to edit the outgoing
file in /var/spool/exim/input/ but the mail then won't go out because
the size has been changed. Is there anyway to make this change on a
one-off basis?
