Getting rid of 'eth0: autonegotiation complete'

Hello,

When I boot my laptop, I get the following message repeatedly, until
I do a 'cardctl reset': 

eth0: autonegotiation complete: 100baseT-FD selected
ctl reth0: lost link beat


Then it goes away. Any ideas?
