Yes, mine also has that. But as far as I understand, that will return all
valid addresses for that host. If set to off, it will only return the first
address (since resolv+ will think it's unique).

Anyway, I've tried it for both multi on and multi off, but it just doesn't
work.

I've also checked that there isn't another interface configured with this ip
address (192.168.0.1). Furthermore, I'm trying all these things on the host
itself, while all other computers on this network are switched off. So, the
host cannot find itself by name without dialing into my ISP, only when, as
stated before, using ping.
