In my case, I did not have CONFIG_FILTER=y, because the Help says:
If unsure, say N.
And it makes no mention of any connection with DHCP or other
services. (Actually, it does make reference to PPP, but I don't use
that.)
But I'll change it and see if it fixes the problem. Thanks!
