woody: boot-disk for 2.4 kernel

hi,

It seems that bf24.bin isn't bootable so I have
to boot with rescue.bin. However, this loads Kernel 2.4
(and thus I can't use ext3). What do I have to do to have
Kernel 2.4 for installation ?

BTW: I can't boot from CD5 although my BIOS lists "CDROM" in the "boot
sequence" option. Is there anything that I can do to get this to work ?
