Where/why did my Mozilla bookmarks go?

I had a lovely selection of bookmarks in Mozilla 1.0, and then started
using Konqueror under KDE 2.2.2 for a while as my web browser. I went
to import my Mozilla bookmarks into Konq, and found the file was empty
and I am REALLY pissed off now :( They've just vanished into thin air.

The /real/ problem is that I don't even know what caused this... I'm
pretty sure they were fine when I apt-getted from 0.9.something to
1.0, and I've used KDE in the past without distrbing my Mozilla
bookmarks. I did a heap of upgrades to KDE using apt-get recently,
and I'm pretty sure it was since then that my Mozilla bookmarks got
trashed, although I'm not sure it was the KDE upgrades that did it.
(I'm speculating about the possibility of a Konq upgrade that tried to
import my Moz bookmarks and botched the job.)

I haven't found anything in the bug reports (although I'm not even
sure of where to look).

Has anybody else experienced this problem, or know what may have
caused it?

The real irony of this is that I noticed this during the process of
formulating a robust and complete backup plan for this box :(

Andrew.
