I don't see any mention of removing data for strong security concerns, so I
will assume that you just want to recycle the drive for another purpose. I
would recommend running fdisk, removing the partitions and simply use the
drive in your new application.
If you are planning to install another OS on it, then it will probably ask if
you want to format the drive, just say yes.
