Re: Mod probe: can't locate module char-major ....



Since I don't need the rtc, I just turn it off.  Edit the file 
/etc/modutils/arch/i386 and replace the line:

alias char-major-10-135 rtc

with

alias char-major-10-135 off

and then run update-modules.
