You are most certainly entitled to that opinion.

Not quite sure where you got these ideas though. Have you looked at the
"-net" option that can be passed to the setup? Have you tried them? I
have, and they work quite well. I've setup a centralized installation of
Open Office on one server in my house and shared that same installation
with several workations throughout the house. With each workstation only
having to do a very minor user installation (under 10 Megs) in their home
directory. After this, each system is able to quite easily use Open
Office as necessary.
