Is it possible to unsubscribe from the debian-users list?

I have been trying every other day to unsubscribe from the debian-users list for two weeks and have become fairly sure it can't be done or it's a test, to see if I qualify to use Debian Linux; apparently I don't, because I'm failing miserably!

Please help me unsubscribe; I have sent many unsubscribe request, along with a couple of request to listmaster. I plan on resubscribing but using a different e-mail address. Following are only a few of the confirmation #s that I replied to.

Thank you;

General info
------------
Subcription/unsubscription/info requests should always be sent to
the -request address of a mailinglist.

Did that.

If a mailinglist for example is called "thelist@lists.debian.org", then
the -request address can be inferred from this to be:
"thelist-request@lists.debian.org".

Did that.

To unsubscribe from a mailinglist, simply send a message with the word (you
guessed it :-) "unsubscribe" in the Subject: field to the -request address of
that list.

Did that.

In the event of an address change, it would probably be the wisest to first
send an unsubscribe for the old address (this can be done from the new
address), and then a new subscribe to the new address (the order is important).

Trying to do that.

Most (un)subscription requests are processed automatically without human
intervention.

It's not working

Do not send multiple (un)subscription or info requests in one mail. Only one
will be processed per mail.

I'm not doing that.

NOTE: The -request server usually does quite a good job in discriminating
between (un)subscribe requests and messages intended for the maintainer.
If you'd like to make sure a human reads your message, make it look
like a reply (i.e. the first word in the Subject: field should be "Re:",
without the quotes of course); the -request server does not react to
replies.

Did that.

The listmaster
--------------
To reach a human being answering your mail you may contact the address
listmaster@lists.debian.org. We will process your request as soon as
we can.

This is the fourth try.

Mail sent to this address is pre-parsed and a little mail robot
will answer you. The following commands are implemented. They need
to occur in the subject line.

help send this help

lists send the list of known lists on this server

The little mail robot is sleeping on the job! :)
