NFS and /cdrom.

I am exporting /cdrom and the client can read a mounted CD.
Yet even after the client umount it successfully the server still 
claims that the device is busy. I need to stop nfs-kernel-server in 
order to be able to umount the device.
Is this expected?
How can I export /cdrom and still be able to have the server umount the 
device when no one uses it?

The server has:

/cdrom 192.168.0.2(ro,all_squash,anonuid=1001,anongid=1001)
