Assuming you have your DHCP server configured properly, Debian can get the same info from it that your W2K machine can. Thankfully, DHCP isn't (yet... :) a proprietary M$ protocol. (Though I'm sure they're working on it...) Just make sure you've got pump installed and you should be all set. -Alex
