Yes, they named it 'ftp' to confuse people though..evidently somebody isn't
aware that ftp is a standard feature on Unices.
For those who hate typing, there are also probably 10-50 different graphical
ftp clients.
Assuming the modem does not use a proprietary software based chip, it should
be fine.
