Install Debian to what partition ever you want and modify your /etc/lilo.conf
to something like:
...
...
Default=Linux

image=/vmlinuz
 label=Linux
 read-only
# restricted
image=/vmlinuz.old
 label=LinuxOld
 read-only
 optional
 restricted
 password=SomePassword
other=/dev/hda1
 label=Windows
 table=/dev/hda
 restricted
 password=SomePassword

Than just run 'lilo' and it will be written to Master Boot Record of your 1st HD.
After that you can choose your OS on startup. Of course you don't have to
set a password, but it's not a bad idea for a completely unprotected OS like
WinME.
