on the one which should phone:

inet:/etc# ifconfig isdn0
isdn0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr FC:FC:0A:01:14:01
          inet addr:10.1.20.1 P-t-P:10.1.20.2 Mask:255.255.255.255
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:0 errors:2 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:30
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)

inet:/etc#

and on the target computer:

gttrouterhu:/etc# ifconfig isdn0
isdn0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr FC:FC:0A:01:14:02
          inet addr:10.1.20.2 P-t-P:10.1.20.1 Mask:255.255.255.255
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:30
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)

gttrouterhu:/etc#

what does this mean in the log on the tartget-comp?:

Feb 05 18:57:28 Call to tei 69 from on CONNECT (Data)
Feb 05 18:57:28 Call to tei 69 from on INTERFACE isdn0 called by 9905
Feb 05 18:57:36 Call to tei 69 from on Normal call clearing (Private
network serving local user)
Feb 05 18:57:36 Call to tei 69 from on HANGUP ( 0:00:08)

what is this normal call clearing?

thanks for the help, I'm quite confused already.
