I do the same, I was just suggesting an option.
If a file isn't in one of the system (s)bin dirs, $HOME/bin, or $HOME/perl,
then it has no business running on my box.

I'd also suggest setting TMOUT as root (export TMOUT=300), so that after 300
seconds, an unattended root login will logout.
