Re: Problems using Logitech Cordless Desktop Optical

I also have a problem with my logitech gear. I have a cordless kb/mouse for
my laptop, and the (2-button) touchpad does not work if I don't have the
other mouse plugged in (with the imps2 proto that I have to use to get the
scroll thing working that is - with ps2 proto it works ok, but no scrolly
thing). Also, I get weird glitches with mouse behaviour: sometimes when I
move the mouse it seems to emit a random sequence of events (usually pasting
interesting wads of text into xterms and sending random emails :) after
which button releases (buttons 1 to 5 (4 and 5 being the scoll wheel
movement)) are only reported after moving the mouse. If running under
gpm/gpmdata, a restart of gpm fixes this, and directly under X the mouse
will return to normal by switching to a console and back with Ctrl-Alt-F1 &
7 respectively. Any ideas anyone?

BTW, the tpconfig program is N/A for my touchpad. My laptop is a
"highlander" brand with SiS 630s chipset.

regards to all,
Pete
