c.f. bug 126856

this happens when i install
pcmcia-modules-3.1.29-2.4.17+fishbowl_1.1-i386.deb with
pcmcia-modules-3.1.29-2.4.17+fishbowl_1.0-i386.deb for instance. this
deinstalls the old package and installs the new one, which doesn't
really give it an excuse for leaving orphan files on the system.

the problem is that even the *new* modules directory, aside from *not*
installing into the kernel modules directory (actually, the kernel not
installing into /lib/modules/`uname -r`+$flavour as it should), is of
the form quoted in the subject line, and already orphaned by the time
that the postinst script finishes.

this, i consider a pretty serious bug.
