X not coming up: testing branch
Please see the following output from the command X > /tmp/x 2>&1 below.
What did I do, or not do? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to bring up a box with the testing branch on it. I have
xserver-common 4.0.3-4, xserver-common-v3 3.3.6-38, xserver-xfree86 4.0.3-4
all installed. I am running kernel version 2.2.19 on a pentium II with 64MB
of RAM.
XFree86 Version 4.0.3 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6400)
Release Date: 16 March 2001
If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is
newer than the above date, look for a newer version before
reporting problems. (See http://www.XFree86.Org/FAQ)
