Need help with phppgadmin

I have just installed phppgadmin from debian unstable. I am getting the
error below when I attempt to log in. Any ideas on how to correct. This
may be a bug in phppgadmi, as there is no problem at all with
postgresql. I have several other applications including webmin that can
log on and perform all of the functions of db management that they are
capable of.
