I tried this, too. 
ldapsearch -x "objectclass=*" -W
Enter LDAP Password:
ldap_bind: Can't contact LDAP server

rootpw          secret

I know saslpasswd, but where to set the realm? 
How the configfile for LDAP is named.
/usr/lib/sasl/ldap.conf ??
In the dcoumentation only Sendmail and Cyrus IMAP is
considered. 

Anyone else an idea?
