Try avifile for watching Divx ;) avi (and other codecs). You can download
it at http://divx.euro.ru/
Don't use 0.6, take 0.56.3, the latest stable release. It compiles fine on
my sid-box (haven't been dist-upgrading lately though)
For mpeg: apt-cache search mpeg will show you a lot of choices :-)
