Re: Additional PHP Modules?
Hi again, I think I sent this before in HTML, and thus didn't get any
responses.. Sorry.. New email client that has since been re-configured :)
I'm still curious as I'd prefer not to have to compile all of PHP myself...
Can anyone help me?

Hello All,
Quick Question (I hope):
I'm using Potato and I'm effectively a Debian novice, but I've been working
with Linux (Slackware dist.) for a while. I know how to compile Apache with
PHP4 and all the modules I want, however I'd like to use the package system
(that Debian has) to do as much as possible for a web server install. I've
got the following modules installed, tested and (as far as I can tell) working:
Apache (etc)
PHP4 (4.03pl)
PHP4-dev
PHP4-gd
PHP4-imap
PHP4-mysql
PHP4-pgsql
PHP4-xml
BUT I'd like to also install PHP support for creating SWF Flash Files on
the fly, Calendar Support (mcal) etc. via additional PHP modules.
So my question is: How do I either compile additional modules for PHP and
incorporate them into my Potato install, or find pre-compiled packages for
these things?
Thanks in advance,
Cam
PS: I've been looking through the FAQs and List archives to no avail, but
if I missed something then simply pointing me in the right direction would
be great! Thanks.
---- End.
Thanks again.
Cam
