Teac CDR-drive

Has anyone tried using the Teac CDW58E 8x8x32 ide cdrw
drive with xcdroast or cdrecord? Compusa has them
this week for $99. It appears that other Teac IDE
drives work under linux (their new 10x8x32 is listed).

Thanks for any advise.
