Think it's the Wordstar mode. Wordstar is a very old DoS programm.

I use StarOffice since the 2.0 version for Win3.x. They included the
desktop in the 4.0 realese. For Windos my oldest Version is the 2.0
realese, for Linux it's the 4.0 Version. If you like to test it I can
make it avaible for you on Monday (write a PM).
