I have been running redhat for quite some time and about 5 months ago decided to move over to Debian (at work and at home)
A Redhat user with the same board said he had to add:
append="x86_serial_nr=1 ide2=0x9800,0x9402 ide3=9000,0x8802"
to lilo.conf to make his A7V board work. Perhaps that would work with
the UDMA66 boot disks.
