The text editor that you will can use without breaking your head it's Easy
Editor. Or better, use ae (Anthony's Editor) that it's already installed
with the base system.
In the first weeks, the directory you'll access more is /etc, where are
the configuration files. Dozens of times simpler than the Win registry.
If you want to install packages, you'll have to learn dselect and apt (in
some cases, dpkg-deb is a great friend).
