There actually is a 3-button-mouse mini-howto.
My mouse problem was that I set it up as microsoft in XF86Setup, and the middle
button didn't worked. I read this howto and found out that the mouse is a dual
protocol one (microsoft-mouse systems) and I have to set the ClearDTR option to
switch it to mouse systems.
So it might worth reading it.
