Re: X can't find the mouse! - Solved

Okay, I tried running XF86Config, I selected the correct protocol for my mouse and it still didn't work. So I just broke down and installed Storm. . .everything works fine now. But I kinda feel like I cheated. . .

Hi Trevor.

What does the "Pointer" section of you /etc/X11/XF86Config say?
What make and model of mouse do you have, and to which port is it
connected?
What's the permissions for the relevant mouse devices?
Do you have ``gpm'' installed and configured?

Hope these questions help you find the bug, and if you can't make it
work with this please feel free to post the answers to to the above
questions to this esteemed list, and I (and probably others) will try
to help! ;-)

HTH
HAND
                Morten
