Re: APT or FTP error.
I am getting the same error.
It looks as if the FTP server is down. If you try and ftp to ftp.debian.org directly
you can't get in:
ftp ftp.debian.org
Connected to ftp.debian.org.
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection
