pland like deamon for gnomecal?

Hi,

is there somewhere a pland like daemon which understands the vCal file
format used by the gnomecal shedule program?

I would like to be able to write down my appointments with gnomecal and
then get the notifications with the help of this daemon also when im
actualy not running gnomecal (like plan/pland play to gether).
