AST fourport card

Hi all,

I have an AST fourport card (or compatible one, don't really know, on
it it's written : AST 4061 VER2.0 FCC ID:H9MSUN6304)
and I don't manage to make it function on an Debian slink box (kernel
2.2.13) even with all the comments present in /etc/rc.boot/0setserial
specifically for AST cards.

The cards seem not to be recognized. (both automatically and
manually).
The serial driver is compiled with :
Serial driver version 4.27 with MANY_PORTS MULTIPORT SHARE_IRQ
DETECT_IRQ enabled
(I've tried with and without DETECT_IRQ)

Sometimes setserial works, but after that I don't manage to
communicate with the modem attached to it.
It's an ISA one (not PNP, as pnpdump sees nothing), with a *LOT* of
jumpers on it... of course I've lost the documentation, so I'm stuck,
and I didn't find anything online... except that it's written
everywhere that AST cards work well with Linux, which in my case is
not true :-(

If anyone as experiences with this kind of card, I'll be very happy
to hear it.

TIA
