Nope.  It's an alternative to KDE.  I've never used
it.  Now I'm installing KDE.

KDE and GNOME are desktop environments for the X
Window system.

Some alternatives to Debian are RedHat, SuSE,
Slackware and Caldera.  They are Linux
distributions.  To know what is a Linux distribution
see the Linux FAQ.  I don't know the right
definition.
