Left something out of the last post.

The last few lines output to the screen before it hangs are:

VFS: Insert root floppy disk to be loaded into RAM disk and press ENTER
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).
Freeing unused kernel memory: 60k freed

Then I get the promptless hang.  The three finger salute (CTRL-ALT-DEL)
has no affect.
