You missed the fact the the entire post was a troll and you got sucked in.
There shouldn't be Y2K issues for most Unix (including Linux) applications,
any distro or whatever.  (Yes, some applications are dumb and will have
problems but it's not due to OS issues - it's due to bad applications.)

Anyways, the poster was "ripping on" all distros except Debian, GNOME, KDE,
Emacs, and AOL just to be a pain in the &^#%#.  They all should be Y2K
safe.  (Well, who knows about AOL - we don't have the source ;-))
