In large internal networks, email is an easy medium to share information
between people at different facillities, etc. Mailing of presentations,
spreadsheets, AV clips, etc. is very common.

I actually ENCOURAGE people to send things in HTML rather than Word or
WordPerfect or StarOffice format. It is very portable and you can present
a lot of information in an HTML email.

It is not the best for use in mailing lists and such but in a corporate
network with many different platforms, it is VERY portable.

Any mailer incapable if internal rendering of HTML should be not be
considered in a modern enterprise network. Note that I am NOT talking
about individual home use ... I am talking about business use ... where
the vast majority co computers and computer users are.
