SCSI aic7xxx problem

I have Debian 2.1 and kernel 2.0.36-3 version.

I have problem with the SCSI disk, I can read it but cannot write on
it. If I attempt than I got messages like this:

SCSI host 0 abort (pid 184) timed out - resetting
SCSI bus is being reset for host 0 channel 0.

At the boot I got these messages:

scsi : 0 hosts.
(scsi0) <Adaptec AHA-294X SCSI host adapter> found at PCI 15/0
(scsi0) Narrow Channel, SCSI ID=7, 16/255 SCBs

I installed the SCSI driver as a module. At the configuration I
haven't changed anything for the default aic7xx options.
