Yes but ........
1: You MUST have the bootable partition (say /boot) completely below
cylinder 1024.
2: Fdisk and Cfdisk probably get the disk size from the bios and will
therefore not see the whole disk.  You must give the disk parameters
to fdisk in the startup invocation.
