It's a pure BIOS limit, and as soon as Linux is booted, this limit disappears. You are right in that your root (actually /boot suffices, you could make it a separate partition) partition needs to be in the 8.4 GB limit. Nils -- Plug-and-Play is really nice, unfortunately it only works 50% of the time. To be specific the "Plug" almost always works. --unknown source
