You should probably delete the partition you created and let the
installation program go through the partitioning step so Debian can
install onto free space on your hard drive.  A swap (type 82) partition
will be created first (it should probably be 64 MB (2 X RAM), followed by
a ext2 (type 83) partition (probably all the available space) unto which
the system will be installed. If you install from the hard drive, you must
install into a different partition than the one containing the files.
