Get the debmake and debget packages.  Then read the
/usr/doc/debmake/HOWTO.first_time file.  After removing the current
lsof-2.0.35 package you can, very quickly, make a new package for your
current kernel.

My thanks to the developers and to the two recent tips about this
procedure in this list.  With these tools just about anyone can make
'Debian' packæges customized for their systems.

Debian does 'rule'!
