Try the package macutils.  Although I have never used it, from the
file /usr/doc/macutils/README.unsit:
/*
                unsit - Macintosh StuffIt file extractor
                        Version 1, for StuffIt 1.31
This program will unpack a Macintosh StuffIt file into separate files.
