2.0 - 2.1 ftp problem

After upgrading to slink I can't ftp into my box, but I can ftp out of it.

If I try to ftp to my box I get 

ftp: connect: Connection refused

My /etc/hosts.allow is empty and /etc/hosts.deny only has the ALL:
PARANOID entry.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
