[..snip..]

I have:

--- Obsolete and local packages present on system ---
    ----- Obsolete/local Required packages -----
------- Obsolete/local Required packages in section base -------
 *** Req base slang0.99.38 0.99.38-6 <none>
    ----- Obsolete/local Optional packages -----
    ------- Obsolete/local Optional packages in section contrib/net -------
 *** Opt contrib/ pppload 1.0-5 <none>
    ----- Obsolete/local Unclassified packages -----
    ------- Obsolete/local Unclassified packages without a section -------
 *** ? ? kernel-image bakh.1.5 <none>
 *** ? ? kernel-image bakh.1.1 <none>
 *** ? ? pico 3.96M-2 <none>
 *** ? ? pilot 3.96M-2 <none>
 *** ? ? pine 3.96M-2 <none>
 *** ? ? pine-tech-no 3.96M-2 <none>

Now, I do understand that the last 7 packages have been created and
installed by me and as such would be in the classification 'local'.
As for slang0.99.38, there is a
 *** Req base slang1 1.2.2-2 1.2.2-2 The S-Lang programming li
installed, so I guess I could get rid of slang0.99.38 ?
What would be the proper way to do this ?
uninstall both packages, then reinstalling slang1 ?
Or just uninstalling slang0.99.38 ?
Also, I used to have newt0.21 (or whatever), and it was listed as an
obsolete package since I have newt0.25. Could it cause any problems that
I simply deselected the newt0.21 package ?
And what about pppload ? I don't see any new 'replacement' for pppload in
my packages list ?
Where did it go ? Has it been 'integrated' into another package ?
