Daemon rpc.nfsd dies.

Hi!

We have a serious problem with daemon rpc.nfsd.

This daemon dies very often and we don't know why.

The problem happens in two machines with Debian 2.0 (Pentium
200MM, 128Mb Ram, 5HD UWSCSI 8GB for each one and Pentium II 266, 128Mb
Ram and 4 HD UWSCSI 8GB each one).

The version of the rpc.nfsd in 2.2beta34 and we trie de 2.2beta37
and the problem is still continuing.

The Kernels that we use are 2.0.34, 2.1.89, 2.1.126, 2.1.125 and
then problem continue.

This machines are only a disc servers and they run the samba
program. The versions of samba are 1.9.18p3 and 1.9.18p10.

The missage before it dies is:

strange write req from castor.salleurl.edu: count 4294967295 len 4294967295

Where "castor" is the name of the other machine that is accessing the
disc in the server.

We don't know why rpc.nfsd dies, any idea?

Thanks.
