JD,

Did you get your situation solved?  You need to compile fat32 support
into your kernel.  See
http://bmrc.berkeley.edu/people/chaffee/fat32.html.  This will allow you
to mount fat32 partitions as regular vfat ones.

As far as your Mac disks are concerned, try the 'macutils' and 'mcvert'
debian packages.
